The mission ahead for Tallmadge High School (OH) wide receiver and athlete Collin Dixon is simple -- to be one of the best players in the state of Ohio.
If his junior season is any indication, Dixon may be well on his way of earning that distinction as a senior as he put up impressive numbers while helping Tallmadge enjoy success on the gridiron.
The First Team All-Ohio and First Team District and First Team League honoree reeled in 69 catches for 1,461 yards and 20 touchdowns, while also adding 63 tackles, three sacks, eight forced fumbles, and an interception on the defensive side in 11 games last year.
"I feel like I made big improvements as a player, being better after the catch and being able to create turnover on defense. My goals for next year are to win a state championship and be one of the best players in Ohio," Dixon recently told Heartland Sports Report.
The hard work on and off the field has paid dividends as Dixon has drawn the attention of several coaches, who have extended offers. His first offer came from Central Michigan University,
"It didn’t feel real honestly, but once it set in, it felt really good," Dixon said of his offer from Central Michigan.
He also holds offers from: Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Penn (Ivy), and Toledo. As for what he is looking for in a school, Dixon told HSR he wants to continue learning about the programs.
